- Long term links between the partners.

- More understanding and knowledge of another European country fostering co-operation and understanding.

- A better understanding of Active Ageing in our communities.

- Developing local volunteering networks and having better knowledge to be able to signpost local people to relevant organisations.

- Broadening horizons by providing inspiration for staff and volunteers for future projects both in our local area and internationally.

- Engaging with and providing opportunities to those who have fewer opportunities due to their socio-economic disadvantages.

- Improving the experiences of the target group by providing the opportunity to learn and engage with a different generation and people from another country, this will be of great assistance to vulnerable social group in our local community, many of whom will not have travelled abroad and some of the children may not have older members of the families available for support
